Inspired by the spirituality of nature, Riccardo Tisci creates a collection celebrating femininity. In his typical style, the Italian fashion designer creates anatomical silhouettes mixed with geometrical shapes and traditional tailoring. A collection very much in the aesthetic of Givenchy but also new and very modern.
“Women are fighting for power, not only in America, but everywhere in the world so I wanted to do something more sensual and more powerful, and for me, that’s tied to nature.”
Tisci is known for his love for the print, and it’s not surprising that the print has its part in the summer collection of the French Couture brand. Usually, the designer plays with animal, flower or geometrical prints but for the summer collection of the brand, he explores the beautiful textures of the agate we see printed on jersey dresses mixed with lace. Agate is used as a print for accessories such as silk scarfs, product iconic for the brand, while the real gem is turned into massive necklaces on a plastic chain and bold brooches.
