The Pantone color of the year has been making a slow appearance in 2018, Ultra Violet has just started popping out during Fashion Week and we couldn’t be more thrilled. This, of course, comes as no surprise as we at Book f27 have previously reported that this year has a focus on the 1980’s and purple was extremely popular during that era.
Purple has evolved into a more modern color with red-tinged hues mixing with the intensity of Royalty purple thus delivering a vibrant statement across fashion, beauty, and interiors. This season will also see a lot of Clash-pairings as is always the case when the Pantone is a bold color; with burnt orange and bronze tints, as the metallic shine gives a highly elevated touch.
And as the Pantone website declares: “A dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future, Think fun, originality, unicorns, glitter, crystals and honestly we can’t wait to make it our own.
